Formed almost by accident when pianist and vocalist Valerie Vampola was asked to “bring a band” for a solo gig, Val Chillmer quickly found its magic during a 15-minute jam of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.” Since then, they’ve become one of Colorado’s most exciting live acts — known for their high-energy sets, smooth musicianship, and ability to make any crowd move.
The lineup features Valerie Vampola (keys, vocals), Kyle Cervantes (sax), Tristan Johnson (guitar, vocals), Gavin Wilson (bass), and Zack Hall (drums). Their shows weave together the spirit of Stevie Wonder, the polish of Bruno Mars, and the creativity of Herbie Hancock — delivering covers, jams, and originals that keep the dance floor alive.
