About this Event

In the harsh embrace of an Irish winter, any mention of theword "Portugal" conjures images of a year-round warm climate, stunning beaches, captivating landscapes, and world-renowned golf courses. If this resonates with you, the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the Ireland Portuguese Business Network, invites you to discover the charm of a life in Portugal at the upcoming 'Moving to Portugal' Show & Seminars at the Herbert Park Hotel, Ballsbridge Terrace, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, on Thursday April 18, 2024.

In 2022, visitors from Ireland to Portugal ranked 8th in the numbers of overnight stays, as compiled by Visit Portugal, the government’s tourism arm. An impressive 456,000 holiday makers from Ireland visited Portugal that year, and now many Irish, captivated by the country, are exploring the advantages of making Portugal their year-round home, or are planning to buy a second home there.

This emerging trend is especially pronounced in the Algarve, where 45.2% of all Irish permanent residents in Portugal already reside. The allure of the Algarve's sun-soaked landscapes and welcoming ambience has captured the hearts of the Irish community, making it a focal point of interest.

At Moving To Portugal in Dublin, Irish nationals Sean Moriarty and Gerry Fagan, who lead two Algarve resorts – namely Quinta do Lago and Reserva da Luz - will highlight the region's benefits. Irish national Des Wynne, CEO of the Algarve’s Lazer Telecom, will also join us on stage to explain why Portugal is the perfect place for working remotely. Finally, the event will feature several other leading Portuguese real estate businesses who will showcase the wide range of properties for sale in Portugal and the Algarve, and Ireland and Portugal experts will be on stage to explain the legal, tax, pension and financial implications of making such a move to Portugal.

Registration to attend the event are now open, and seminar seats are filling rapidly. Secure your place today. Join us in Dublin on April 18, 2024, and let the 'Moving to Portugal' event be the starting point for your exciting new chapter in Portugal.
