A 4-Class Yoga & Grief Series for men and women
Grief is not only an emotional experience—it lives in the body and shapes how the brain processes safety, memory, and connection. Moving Through Grief is a four-class yoga series designed to gently support the nervous system while creating space for grief to be acknowledged, felt, and integrated rather than pushed aside.
Led collaboratively by Dr. Kim, grief expert, and April Waldrop, yoga teacher, this series weaves evidence-informed grief education with accessible, trauma-sensitive yoga practices. Together, talk and movement address how grief often shows up as tension, fatigue, numbness, restlessness, or overwhelm—and how mindful movement, breath, and stillness can help the brain and body regulate, soften, and reconnect.
Each class offers a supportive blend of:
- Gentle, all-levels movement to release stored tension and restore a sense of grounding
- Breath practices to calm the nervous system and support emotional regulation
- Guided reflection and rest to allow grief to move without needing to be fixed or resolved
Classes may be taken individually or as a four-class series. Each session stands on its own while also building a steady, compassionate container over time.
No prior yoga experience is required. Modifications and options are offered throughout, honoring that grief looks different in every body and every moment.
This series is for anyone navigating loss—recent or long-held—seeking a safe, embodied way to move through grief with support, presence, and care.
