About this Event
This year’s theme is “Moving the Needle on Red Pine” and will feature speakers from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Wisconsin County Forests, and others presenting the latest research and management initiatives of red pine in the Great Lakes Region. Topics include a review of red pine ecology, silviculture systems, markets, natural and artificial regeneration, age class distribution, case studies of on-going projects, and wildlife management considerations. The second day includes a field tour to various red pine stands in the Central Sands area.
PLEASE NOTE THAT REGISTRATION PRICES INCREASE ON OCTOBER 21. BE SURE TO REGISTER EARLY!
More information can be found at wisaf.org. An agenda and list of speakers and field tour topics will be added to the webpage as they become available, so check back often. Foresters, land managers and other natural resources professionals from Wisconsin and adjacent states are expected to attend.
