FEATURED FILMS
Dark Horse: A film about Pemberton’s own Joe Lax, a backcountry snowboarding legend who chooses a life away from social media fame. This documentary highlights his journey as an accomplished snowboarder, family man, and wildfire firefighter, embodying the spirit of adventure for its own sake.

From powder turns in Japanese forests to the volcanic landscapes of Hokkaido, it showcases the transformative power of adventure and shared passions.
Elle Aime: Directed by Vancouver's own Darcy Hennesy, this film is set in a surrealist mountain world. Marie France Roy world-class riding is encapsulated by the feeling that we all seek in the mountains: pure joy.
Heaven Is On My Side: A breathtaking film on gratitude and big-wave surfing, featuring João “Massas” de Macedo at the world’s biggest wave in Nazaré, Portugal. This documentary is a meditation on environmental consciousness and personal resilience.
Elladj: A documentary on Canadian figure skater Elladj Baldé, who found his voice and audience through wild ice skating after facing rejection in the competitive world. This film explores Elladj's journey toward artistic expression, emphasizing the beauty of pursuing passion over measurable success.
Exposed: 21-year-old Kitale Wilson films his stunning travails through the sunny Australian outback to the tip of its snowy mountains. This Wes-Anderson-esque short is a whimsical journey about dreaming yourself into reality as he summits 10 of Australia's highest peaks with a vintage camera and a single roll of analog film.
