This free informal learning session is for anyone seeking a better music and film experience at home. We will answer any basic or advanced questions, clarify confusing terms and dispell as many myths and misconceptions as we can. We will break down the seemingly complex and make each element that goes into process as easy as possible.
Hosted by someone called both an audio and video "guru" in industry circles, you'll get an insider view which will be irreverant, informative and enlightening.
Everyone is encouraged to bring their friends or anyone that would benefit from an introduction to this topic, a refresh or a project specific challenge needing expert insight.
Concerts and movies produced on analog film will feature heavily in this session.
The Lavish Showroom theater has just undergone a dramatic reimagining. A 166" inch wide (180" dignonal) 2:39:1 Stewart Sceen, an incredible Barco Heimdahl Cinemascope projector driven by a MadVR Envy Extreme processor with Magnetar 900Mk2, Apple TV and Kaleidescape sources. The audio processor is the latest model Trinnov Altitude (made in Paris!) driving a Trinnov amplifier into Ariatechnik point source loudspeakers in a 7.4.2 configuration. The "Four" subwoofers each have 4 10 inch drivers are are powered by an Ariatechnik 10,000 watt amplifier.
Lavish Learning Sessions are free, informal and fun. Feel free to come for all or any part of it.
Beginners and advanced users are welcome. Please ask questions at the session, or anytime you think of them. Be prepared to hear answers which are different.
