About this Event
Movie Poster Crazy!
Thursday, February 6 | 7:00 pm
Movie posters started primarily as a promotional tool for movie studios to advertise their films to the public. They included attractive artwork and imagery, and key details such as the movie's title, director, cast, and release date – all important information for a potential customer. Over time, collecting this promotional tool became a widespread obsession. Join collector Jay Lesiger and learn about movie advertisements and how he became movie poster crazy! He will show and discuss some of the rare and prized posters from his collection and provide key factors in what makes a movie poster highly sought after among collectors.
Presentation will begin at 7:00 pm; PMH Galleries will be open for viewing at 6:00 pm.
Space is limited; advance reservations required.
