About this Event
How did Canva go from a university student's idea to make graphic design easier, to a $40 billion dollar company used by 200 million people every month?
How did an ordinary insurance fraud investigator in Townsville develop an app for workplace safety that's now used by some of the world's biggest companies?
At this special event Movie Night, we'll watch two inspiring documentaries about the founding stories of these companies. You'll meet the entrepreneurs up close as they embark on their mission to create world changing products and take on global competitors. These raw and intimate documentaries show their mistakes, challenges and victories. They are human stories that we can all learn from.
Afterwards we'll be joined in person by Rick Baker, founder of Blackbird VC for an audience Q&A along with a special guest. Rick was the first person to invest in both companies and he features in the films.
There'll be networking drinks and nibbles included in the price of your ticket.
