Sacramento Meditation Center will host a FREE movie night Saturday July 6th featuring Paramahansa Yogananda’s documentary “Awake”. The SRF Convocation begins July 14th so this will be a nice prelude to the 2024 Convocation.Potluck dinner at 5:00 pm and movie starts at 6:00 pm.
Awake is a an unconventional biography by Oscar-nominee Paola di Florio and Sundance winner Lisa Leeman about Paramahansa Yogananda, seeking enlightenment and sharing his struggles along the path to it, brings ancient teachings to a contemporary audience and introduces the West to yoga and meditation in 1920.
