About this Event
Looking to extend your Valentine weekend? Maybe simply enjoy a night out with friends or loved ones? Enjoy a film in the Black Maria at the Thomas Edison Depot Museum!
When investigative reporter Hildy Johnson (Rosalind Russell) breaks the news to her ex-husband, newspaper editor Walter Burns (Cary Grant), that she is leaving the profession and getting married to an insurance agent (Ralph Bellamy) - things get complicated. As Burns begins trying to lure her away from her new dreams of a domestic life, attempting to sabotage the engagement, she finds out that a convicted murderer awaiting execution may be innocent, and allows her instincts to take the lead.
Based on the 1928 play, "The Front Page" by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur, His Girl Friday is a fast-talking comedy that gives viewers some classic romantic tropes, while also having Rosalind Russell shine in her role as someone passionate about their career.
Tickets are extremely limited, given the space in the theater, so don't miss out on an opportunity to see this great "screwball" comedy in a unique setting. Order or call the Port Huron Museum as soon as possible!
Tickets are only $5 for Port Huron Museum Members, and $7 for General Admission. Includes some freshly popped popcorn to enjoy!
