Remember those times your parents or grandparents told you about? Going to the movies on a Saturday afternnon, watching westerns, comedies, horror and science fiction films. Every matinee would begin with a newsreel, followed by a cartoon and then the main event - a great film. The Capitol Theatre of Greeenville is hopping to recreate that event once a month for the entire year. Each event will begin with a newsreel from long ago, followed by classic cartoons and a classic feature film. Tickets are only $5.00 for the entire afternoon. This month let's go fly a kite with Julie Andrews in MARY POPPINS.
