Movie Loft frights into October at Shadowbox Studio with a screening of the 1982 slasher 'Death Screams'! Also known as 'House of Death', this quirky North Carolina gem is full of regional charm and a pile of bodies. Filmed partly at the famed E.O. Studios in Shelby, director David Nelson (yes, the brother of Ricky and son of Ozzie and Harriet!) did not skimp on the Southern fried horror!A crazed, mysterious maniac is offing people in a small town while a group of friends is trying to enjoy a traveling carnival and have a bonfire. Susan Kiger ('H.O.T.S.', Playmate, etc.) leads the cast of ancient teenagers and local characters (with names like Diddle and Agnes Bottomly). NC food afficionados will also greatly appreciate the scenes filmed at a legendary barbecue establishment!
Spooky Season sounds spinnin', and hot dogs grillin', beginning at 7. Movie to roll around 8.
