Movie Loft drifts into the fair Fall season at Shadowbox Studio with a screening of the atmospheric 1980 traveling-carnival drama 'Carny'! From director Robert Kaylor comes this tale of life on the road with a small-time Southern carnival company and all of its characters and cons.18 year-old waitress Donna (Jodie Foster), bored with her work and milieu, takes off with Frankie the dunk-tank insult-clown The Mighty Bozo (Gary Busey) and Patch (Robbie Robertson) on the Great American Carnival circuit. Featuring prime footage of midway action, both in front and behind the scenes, this one is full of grimy ambience, plus Fred Ward, Meg Foster and the always amazing Elisha Cook, Jr.!
To make the food match the film as much as possible, we'll be serving up freshly battered corn dogs, starting at 7, along with lots and lots of songs about clowns! Movie to roll around 8.
