Paris Qui Dort (1924)
Drum Solo + Electronics by Stéphane Scharlé
For his first solo movie-concert, Stéphane Scharlé uses a unique device of augmented drums to create a new soundtrack to the silent sci-fi comedy, Paris Qui Dort (1924), acclaimed French filmmaker René Clair’s debut film. This promises to be a fantastic poetic universe brought up to date with musical landscapes echoing repetitive music, minimal electro and jazz improvisation.
