SUMMER MOVIE SERIES
By now you may have heard about our Opening of the Beaches event taking place on Saturday, May 18th. Details are still forthcoming for Saturday's activities however our Parks & Recreation Department thought that would be a great weekend to kick-off our Summer Movies Series!
On Friday, May 17, 2024, we will show the first movie in the summer series, “Soul Surfer.”
"Soul Surfer" is an American biographical drama based on the 2004 memoir: Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, and is based on the story of surfer Bethany Hamilton, a professional surfer who lost her left arm to a shark attack. With great perserverance and determination, Bethany returns to the ocean, learning to surf again with just one arm. This inspirational story showcases human adaptability and ability to beat the odds.
"Soul Surfer" is rated PG and has a running time of 1 hr and 46 minutes. Below are details about the event.
