Parwati Dutta, a renowned Odissi and Kathak exponent and UNESCO Culture Awardee presents ‘Pratimaan’, a poetic exploration of nature, metaphors, and spirituality. Alongside her disciples from Mahagami Gurukul, she brings to life Odissi compositions grounded in shastric principles, weaving stories of humanity, gods, and the natural world. With pieces like ‘Pratibimba’, a pallavi on Darpani, and ‘Nirghoshah', the consecration of taal through mathematical patterns, melodic utterances and lyrical metaphors – this performance highlights Dutta’s research-driven revival of lost traditions, blending historical depth with vibrant creativity to engage both scholars and rasikas. The evening is elevated by Maulik Shah and Ishira Parikh, esteemed Kathak artists and Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardees, as they take the audience on a journey of self-discovery and spiritual awakening in ‘Main to Tere Paas Hun’.
