On Saturday, December 6th, 2025 Hard Knox Games will be presenting "Move to Contact 7", a 32 point LW Flames of War Tournament.
In conjunction with "Move to Contact" HKG will be participating in the annual Battle Rankings and Battlefront sponsored USMC Toys for Tots toy drive. The entry for this event will be a toy of $20 or more value that will be donated to the local charity toy drive.
We will also be sharing the space with the 40k Toys for Tots tournament on the same day. We will have the ability to set up additional tables, so space will not be an issue.
The tournament will consist of four 32 point games, each with a 70 minute period of play on a 48"x48" table. We have 5 missions available, and we will randomly determine which mission at the beginning of each round. The missions have been custom created for quick, small, intense games. We highly recommend that prospective players review the missions listed in the discussion for this event and give them a thorough reading and playtesting so they will be best prepared for the tournament. This will be an open tournament, and will NOT be using a red vs blue format.
Each player should create a 32 point, LEGAL, Late-War, formation from any of the available V4 Late War books. The formation must include all black box units. As part of their formation players may not choose any units with a side armor greater than a 6. The Soviet command card "Decoy Platoon" may not be taken. Players should also be cautioned that Deep Reserves (applying to FA4 or higher) will be featured for all players in all missions to discourage Light Tank Hordes from overwhelming the tables. Also note that in a 32 point force the maximum number of points that will start on the board is 19 points (60% of the available total). Since this is a small game we will not use the "ignore the 1st destroyed platoon" for victory points rule.

Any players who would like to are encouraged to bring terrain for a 48"x48" medium density table to help create an enjoyable variety of tables.
Please let us know if you intend to bring a table to help us ensure we have enough laid out for participants.

Please note that as a charitable event we will not be charging any additional entry fee; players are playing for their own enjoyment and fellowship with other players. Since we are doing this in a tournament format, we will be submitting the results of our five round event to BattleRankings for those who enjoy comparing their rankings with others. Further a list of all participants will be submitted to Battlefront for inclusion in a prize drawing that they will be organizing.
