About this Event
Move, Dance, Improvise, is a workshop where we will break down some exciting moves and sequences for you to play with in a verbally guided and open dance. We hope that you will feel an improved sense of confidence in improvisation through the provision of moves as a starting point to explore your own interests.
Feel empowered and confident in your dancing through learning broken down moves and sequences before opening up into a fun and open guided improvisation.
This workshop will consist of three sections. We will check in and warm up together with a holistic and playful approach to movement. We will then learn an exciting series of movements and sequences suitable for all levels and completely broken down. What we learn will be expanded upon as we open up the workshop into a guided improvisation journey filled with verbal and visual cues for a fully immersed and unique dancing experience.
This workshop is a great way to ease yourself into a fun and creative dance with the provision of moves and sequences as a starting point to expand upon.

Kuba's bio:
'I am a professional movement teacher and personal trainer specialising in teaching handstands, calisthenics and acrobatic movements based in Southampton, UK. My training began in 2006 when I dived into a mix of disciplines such as Parkour, Calisthenics and Acrobatics. Being self-taught and learning most of the physical skills for myself allowed me to do my own research on assessing and teaching adults complex movement skills. This helped me be able to break down advanced skills and make them accessible to more people who are interested in learning something new. As much as I preach the willingness to learn new things – I believe that quality of movement is the most important. www.kubajursza.co.uk'
