Mousik-ί Festival is Back!
The Mousik-ί Festival is back for its second instalment, celebrating the fusion of Greek melodies with contemporary rhythms and harmonies.
Join us for an electrifying night of local music as Melbourne’s emerging Greek music scene takes centre stage. Experience a vibrant blend of traditional Greek sounds and modern beats, featuring three sensational bands. Enjoy an eclectic mix of Hip-Hop, rebetika, Greek folk, and Greek swing, all in one unforgettable night.

Anatreptix
Anatreptix are a musical group that plays Rebetika, music of the Greek underground from the 1930s through to the late ‘50s.
Songs of sorrow, poverty, loss, grief, and death are the content of this stirring music that touches the core of the human condition.
Formed by Australian-born musicians of Greek heritage, Anatreptix have played in numerous venues, creating a strong following.

Cats and the Canary
Cats and the Canary bring a truly unique experience to Australian music scene, standing out as the first and only band to introduce Greek Swing. Their performances are a heartfelt tribute to Greece’s most prolific composers, where cherished melodies of the past undergo a captivating transformation. With a blend of Tsitsanis, Chiotis, Hadjidakis, and the occasional tsifteteli or traditional smyrneika, they seamlessly fuse these treasures with the lively essence of swing, jazz, and even latin rhythms.

They have performed in various festivals (Brunswick Music Festival, Antipodes festival etc), in Melbourne and Sydney and have also sold out several headline gigs in Melbourne (Toff in
Town, The Workers Club etc)

Delyrium
Delyrium is a high energy folk fusion band, based in Melbourne Australia and they specialise in music from the island of Crete, Greece. They play a contemporary style of Cretan music, combining various sounds from around the world to create our unique style.
They have performed in various venues, and they are known for the high energy they bring to their shows.

H Division
H Division, founded in December 2016 by childhood friends 2K aka Snc and G Pap from Karditsa, Greece, emerged from a shared passion for Hip-Hop and a desire for authentic expression. The group quickly began making waves with their first releases, as 2K dropped three e-singles in mid-2017. After 2K relocated to Melbourne, H Division grew, welcoming new talent in 2022-2023, including artists like Skee, Lust1, and Jasonmav_1—young creatives who also moved from Greece to Melbourne, hailing from areas like Nea Ionia, Volos, and Piraeus.
H Division was born out of a period of personal challenges for its founders, who found solace and strength in music. Their mission is to create a space where free-thinkers can break away from the struggles that weigh them down. The name "H Division" symbolizes this struggle, referencing one of the most notorious wings of British prisons—known for housing some of the toughest criminals. It’s not meant to provoke but to inspire individuals to overcome personal hardships, both individually and collectively, through creativity and self-expression.
