Come celebrate all the Arthurdale Mountain Music Kids have learned this semester! Mountain Music Kids is an after-school program run by Arthurdale Heritage designed to teach middle schoolers how to play traditional mountain music together. This showcase is the culmination of 9 weekly sessions where the kids learned new bluegrass and old-time tunes and songs on fiddle and guitar, engaged with guest artists who demonstrated various aspects of traditional folk music, and jammed together.The second half of the evening will feature a guest band–TBD.
This event is free and open to the public. Doors are at 6:30pm, show at 7pm. Light refreshments will be provided.
