Join us for our third annual Mountain Lion 5k run/walk, fun run and fundraiser! The purpose of this event is to raise money and get our bodies moving in whatever way we can. Costumes encouraged. FUN required!The fun run will consist of a one mile out-and-back on the Monarch spur trail and is a great option for our youngest kids. The 5k run/walk will begin on 8th and J and then go up the Monarch Spur trail and back. Walking, running, strollers, skipping all welcome! You're also welcome to come hang out during the race, cheer on participants and stay for the after party if your kids would like to run but you don't want to.
Longfellow grade levels are competing to earn trophies for the most students who participate and most money raised. When registering and donating online, make sure to click which grade you're supporting. Funds will be used to support the whole school.
Registration for the run will be available the day of the event and will open at 9:00 am. Pre-registration encouraged.
If you don't want to or cannot participate, we'd still love your donation to support Longfellow Parents Association, an organization dedicated to supporting the students and staff of Longfellow Elementary! Anyone wishing to donate can donate online through this website. Longfellow kids will also be collecting cash and checks, so you can choose to donate that way as well.
Race prizes will be given for top three adults (18+), top three youth (ages 11-17) and top three kids (under 11), as well as other prize drawings.
