Neighbour Day was established in June 2014 to commemorate the acts of kindness and support shown by neighbours after the 2013 floods. This year, we’re celebrating the 11th anniversary of this meaningful tradition, highlighting our resilience and the power of community spirit.

?️A Day Filled with Fun and Togetherness
Join us at the MPCA Hall for a day filled with fun activities, delicious food, and memorable moments. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your neighbours and celebrate our vibrant community.
Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store:
? Bike Parade: Our signature bike parade kicks off the festivities!
? Live Music: Groove to the tunes of three-time Canadian Folk Music Award nominee Braden Gates, and let the music set the mood for a memorable celebration.
? Beer Gardens: Unwind and socialize in our vibrant beer gardens, offering refreshing Citizen Brewing Company brews for adults to enjoy.
?️ Art Exhibition and Sale: Immerse yourself in the creativity and talent of our local artists as they showcase their work. This year marks the 2nd Art Exhibit, made possible by the Arts and Culture Microgrant from the City of Calgary, allowing us to expand our reach and open the event to creators throughout the city. ?️ Repair Exchange Event: Our Green Initiatives Committee is teaming up with the Arusha Centre to host a Repair Exchange Event, bringing neighbours together to reduce, reuse, and recycle in style. Note this event will run until 6PM.
? BBQ: Savour the mouth-watering flavours of our BBQ, featuring delicious food prepared by our dedicated volunteers. Tickets are available for pre-purchase here: https://bit.ly/3K3156K
? Tasty Treats: Enjoy cotton candy from Mount Pleasant’s own Candy Man Cory, and sweet treats from Love, Sugar, Dough, who were a hit at the Taste of Mount Pleasant Festival.
? We are excited to announce that our MPCA Business Member, Mount Pleasant Dental, will be joining us for the celebrations.
? Kids’ Activities: Children will have a blast with a range of engaging activities designed to spark their imagination and create lasting memories.
? Comfort: Don’t forget to bring a blanket or lawn chair to ensure your comfort as you enjoy the festivities!
