About the Speakers:
Professor Glyn Williams-Jones is a volcanologist and the Chair of Simon Fraser Earth Sciences. He is also the co-Director of the Centre for Natural Hazards Research. He is an internationally recognized expert in the application of geophysical, geochemical and remote sensing approaches for assessment of geological hazards and has co-authored over 50 scientific publications in this field.
Veronica Woodruff has 25+ years of local experience working on community stewardship, environmental assessment and restoration. She has a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University, where her award-winning thesis explored the importance of partnerships in addressing climate change-induced natural hazard risk. She is a serious nature nerd.
