About Mount Clare
Mount Clare Museum preserves a circa 1760 historic house and the surrounding landscape, and presents the history of Baltimore City’s development, by focusing on the lives of individuals who lived, worked, and played here. A National Historic Landmark (designated in 1970) located in Baltimore City’s Pigtown/Southwest neighborhood in Carroll Park, the museum presents a self-guided exhibit on the industrial development of this former plantation and tells the history of the property after three generations of the Carroll family lived here.
