Mount Athos and Meteora in 1929 through Princeton’s hidden treasure
A major photography exhibition travels to Boston and is presented at Maliotis Cultural Center!
We are pleased to announce the presentation of the photography exhibition from the Princeton archive which is to be presented at the Maliotis Cultural Center on Friday, September 27, 2024.
The exhibition is held in collaboration with the Department of Art and Archaeology of Princeton University, the Mount Athos Foundation of America and the Mount Athos Center (Thessaloniki, Greece) with the support of Maliotis Cultural Center.
The exhibition presents photographs and film footage from 1929 from the trip made by 3 traveling pilgrims to Mount Athos and Meteora, recording in a unique way their unforgettable experience from their visit to the two most important monastic communities in Greece.
