Join FOTBSP and Halifax River Audubon for a walk through a section of the park that is off the beaten path. This easy “back country” ramble will offer a great opportunity to explore an “under-birded” area on a trail that runs along the creek. The path is approximately 1.5 to 2 miles, round trip. Time: 8:00am – 10:00am
Meet at: Paved Trail Trailhead on the Corner of Inglesa Ave. and North Beach Street (GPS 29.327650922126363, -81.07742990250965; https://maps.app.goo.gl/VWojp8B3XZ5Zh1Nn6)
What to Bring: Sturdy, close-toed shoes (uneven terrain expected), insect repellent, water, snacks. Ticks inhabit this area, so you might consider long pants and socks. Don’t forget your binoculars.
