MOUD Summit

Join us for the MOUD (Medications for Opioid Use Disorder) Summit, hosted in partnership with the Addiction Action Committee’s Rural Subcommittee and the Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH). This event will feature expert panels from Delaware based providers, peer testimonials, and a keynote address, from Dr. Lindy Lewis, all aimed at educating community advocates and providers to promote access to MOUD services.

Additionally, we will provide space and time for advocates and providers to connect, in order to learn more about the concrete MOUD and related resources available in and around Sussex County.

Info: A presentation on Open Beds and other supportive services available through DSAMH to support individuals in recovery.

Info: A foundational overview of MOUD, its impact, and the importance of reducing stigma. Expert speaker Dr. Lindy Lewis will lead the discussion.

Info: MOUD providers from Beebe, Dover Behavioral Health, and Brandywine, will discuss what an appointment looks like in practice, and treatment options for individuals struggling.

Info: Individuals with lived experience will share their journey with MOUD and recovery.

Info: Attendees will engage with agencies and providers' informational tables to learn about resources and contacts through an interactive networking activity. Participating organizations include DSAMH, the DE Academy of Medicine, the Health Care Commission, and training programs designed to support MH/SUD providers.
