About this Event
Motivational Interactions (MI) is built on the principles of Motivational Interviewing and the Transtheoretical Model of Behaviour Change, recognised for its effectiveness in case management. MI addresses barriers and ambivalence to change while building motivation—key factors in achieving successful client outcomes. This collaborative, person-centred communication style strengthens a person's motivation and commitment to specific goals by exploring and eliciting behaviour change.
The Motivational Interactions Foundational Skills Workshop is a comprehensive 2-Day Program designed to enhance your ability to support injured clients and workers in overcoming barriers to change. You'll be equipped with essential mindsets and skillsets, gaining insights into key concepts, processes, and strategies for working collaboratively in a client-centred manner. The focus is improving client and worker engagement in behaviour change, ultimately leading to positive Return-to-Work, wellbeing, and life outcomes.
