All are welcome to join us for our annual Merri Park planting event: caring for Mother Earth on Mother's Day. We will be planting in the newly fenced area by the creek: https://maps.app.goo.gl/mu1rzDMpBsd1rZtJ8The event includes:
- Welcome to Country
- planting indigenous shrubs and trees with the support of the Merri Creek Management Committee
- snacks for volunteers
All ages and abilities are welcome (children under direct supervision of a parent/guardian). There is no expectation for how long you spend at the event - feel free to pop in, even for half an hour.
Tools and gloves will be provided, but please wear sturdy, closed toes shoes, long pants and dress for the weather. Bring your own drinking water.
This event is a Friends of Merri Creek and Merri Creek Management Committee event. This Connecting up Communities Project is supported by the Victorian Government through the Green Links Program.
