Ready to become a pastaio? Making fresh pasta may seem daunting, but it is a simple luxury that you can enjoy every day.
Join us this Mothers Day in La Scuola di Eataly Toronto for this in-person experience to explore the tradition of Northern Italian fresh pasta and learn how to prepare your new go-to comfort dish. In this class you will learn how to prepare a pasta fresca by mixing flour and eggs then kneading to create a pastaio style ravioli infused with the flavours of the season.
Celebrate your mamma with Eataly! In Italy, la mamma is the cornerstone of the home and celebrated by her family all year round. But, beyond cards and gifts, we value quality time, whether we send the mothers (or mother figures!) in our lives something that we know she’ll love or whether we’re able to enjoy a meal with her.
The class will start with a traditional pasta from the north prepared by our Scuola Chef and paired with a tasting of wine selected by our beverage expert. Our Scuola Chef will also demonstrate how to make and shape some of Eataly's favorite fresh pastas. Guests will then get to try their hand at rolling out the dough and forming their own shapes (think: agnolotti del plin, tortellini, ravioli).
In this “Back to Basics” class, students will:
- Learn about fresh egg pasta and make a variety of pasta shapes to take home
- Enjoy two pasta dishes prepared by our chef and paired with two wine tastings chosen by an Eataly beverage expert
- Sip on wine and learn how to pair with the right pasta shapes and sauces
- Take home the fresh pasta they have made

- Please note, if purchasing a single ticket, you will be seated at a table for two with another individual. Tickets are individually sold and one ticket will give you access to one seat.
- Please notify us in advance at [email protected] if you have any dietary restrictions and or allergies. If we are not notified ahead of time of any allergies/dietary restrictions, we may not be able to accommodate them.
- All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce valid government-issued identification to prove they are 19 or older.

Payment, refund & cancellation policies
Payment in full is required at the time of registration and all sales are final. No refunds are offered on classes and events. For groups of 4-10 guests, a minimum of 7 days' notice is required to receive a credit in the form of a coupon for a future class or event. For groups of up to 3 guests, a minimum of 2 days' notice is required to receive a credit for a future class or event at La Scuola. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a class or event due to unforeseen circumstances, inclement weather or otherwise. In the event of a class or event cancellation, we will contact you directly at the phone number or email address you have provided to offer a full refund or credit to transfer to a future class or event. While we are not able to offer credit, transfers or refunds for last-minute illnesses, work-related conflicts, personal emergencies or events beyond our control, you are always welcome to send someone in your place, as we understand that these things do happen. If you are purchasing this class or event as a gift, please provide this cancellation policy to the recipient, as the policy will still apply. Credits issued for La Scuola events are redeemable ONLY for future La Scuola events and cannot be used to register for events in other parts of the marketplace or exchanged for store credit or Eataly gift cards.
