We are thrilled to bring you a creative afternoon filled with terrarium making, gourmet local produce and a gorgeous venue to spend quality time with your nearest and dearest.
El Estanco is a South American inspired restaurant situated in Greenock, in the heart of the Barossa Valley.
Make a day of it - stay a little longer and enjoy the gardens and courtyard area or visit one of the many cellar doors nearby.
We have purposefully chosen to hold this event on the Saturday and not on Mothers Day itself - because we believe every occasion should be celebrated over atleast a whole weekend, and to ensure mum is available for all on the big day itself.
Also - this event is a great opportunity to spoil a mum or special person in your life, however please note that ALL are welcome and it is in no way only for mums or those celebrating the occasion.
Join us inside the stunning El Estanco pavilion for a fully guided Terrarium Making Workshop.
Krystie from Green Leaf Lounge will step you through all you need to know to create your very own enclosed indoor greenhouse.
Customise your enclosed terrarium to suit your décor and tastes with multiple pebble/sand colour options available.
All the materials are provided, including the plants of your choosing, moss (subject to availability), and assorted decorative hardscape options
There will also be various terrarium ornaments available for purchase on the day should you wish to add a little something special to
complete your terrarium (optional extra - eftpos will be available).
To fuel your creative vibes, you will also be able to help yourself to one of El Estanco's famous artisanal charcuterie boards filled with locally sourced goodies such as cheeses, cured meats, seasonal fruit, house made dips and pickles, plain or seeded sourdough and olives.
You also have the option to tailor your experience further by adding on a drink of your choosing at the time of booking.
You may wish to choose from a pot of tea or cup of coffee, a jug of sangria or a cocktail.
Plants available for selection will vary depending on availability, but will be those types suited to living inside an enclosed terrarium
(leafy, tropical, warmth and humidity loving plants) - not succulents/cacti.
You will also leave equipped with care instructions for your terrarium, and a 10% Green Leaf Lounge discount voucher.
This workshop is great for beginners right through to self proclaimed crazy plant people.
