U.S. PREMIERE
A solo lecture-performance by one of the most charismatic dance artists working today Mothering the Tongue inaugurates L’Alliance New York’s newly renovated Skyroom a workshop space designed for intimate encounters with performance. Fresh off a showcase in Berlin this new production offers a rare opportunity to experience consummate performer Adam Linder engaged in his choreographic process embodying what he calls “writing in real-time.” Weaving together theoretical cultural and personal reflections Linder invites audiences into an inner world of spontaneous invention and sublime musicality propelled by everything from visual image to a variety of music from Bach to Sinéad O’Connor.
Mothering the Tongue is made possible with the support of Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels.
