What: 'Mother of compost: a night of art & activism' will happen in two parts!
Part 1:
A creative questioning of the links between arts practice, the climate crisis and community organising. Bring your imagination and humour and let’s pull this thing apart! Facilitated by playwright, poet and co-founder of Brink Vivienne Glance and performance-maker Noemie Huttner-Koros.
Part 2:
A solo singing set from the incredible Sage Pbbbt! https://sagepbbbt.com/
Noemie Huttner-Koros will perform her show Mother of Compost, originally programmed as part of The Blue Room Theatre's 900 Seconds in February 2021 (unfortunately cancelled due to Covid lockdown).
Entry is pay as you want at the door - we suggest $15-20 but are open to each person paying what they can, whether that is free entry, gold coin donation or way more! (cash or card available)
Capacity is limited so arrive early.
Pig Melon will be serving refreshments, thanks to Gage Roads Brewing Co.
Accessibility: Narrowest doorway within the Pig Melon premises is 79cm wide. Please contact us via email at [email protected] if you require any more information regarding building access.
This event takes place on the unceded sovereign lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging who hold the culture. We acknowledge the long histories of sustainability, custodianship, culture and storytelling across these lands and waters since time immemorial.
