About this Event
Come make your own authentic copper Moscow mule mug! Unlike mass-produced mugs, this mug will not be copper plated but made of solid copper, with actual hammer marks in the surface, made by you.
Students will get to experience both coppersmithing and blacksmithing, leaving with their own unique mug that is entirely made by hand.
During this 2 day course, copper will be shaped to form the vessel, and the handles will be made by forging steel, using a coke-fueled fire and hammers. Students will be introduced to both metals, and the joinery techniques of both riveting and soldering to connect the two.
This course is fitting for both complete beginners and those who have taken our Intro to Coppersmithing or Blacksmithing workshops.
