In this workshop, you'll learn to design your piece, use tile-cutting hand tools, and apply grout. The instructor will provide all necessary tools and materials, including small tiles that are perfect for beginners and enjoyable for experienced mosaic artists.
We kindly ask that you select your project in advance by emailing [email protected] so the instructor can prepare the appropriate substrates. However, we do bring a few extra options for those who change their minds. The available choices include:
- Dragonfly
- Fish
- Heart
- Butterfly
- Turtle
The class is a full day, so we recommend you to bring lunch or snacks and drinks! There will be a 30-minute wait for the glueto dry before grouting, during which you can take a break, explore the area, or work on a small project we provide. For those who wish to create their own design, we offer a 12 x 12 blank square.
After grouting, you’ll attach a hanger to the back, making your artwork ready for display. Be prepared to get messy,especially during the grouting process. Please don’t forget to specify what project you want to do by emailing [email protected]. It’s going to be a fun and creative experience!
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE ART CENTER OF CORPUS CHRISTI DOES NOT PROVIDE REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES FOR CLASSES/WORKSHOPS, WITH THE SOLE EXCEPTION BEING IF THE ART CENTER CANCELS THE CLASS. YOU WILL ALSO GET AN EMAIL FROM OUR EDUCATION DEPARTMENT A FEW DAYS BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED CLASS ON WHAT TO EXPECT.
