Described as delivering “energetic and charming performances”, the Morris-Begg Duo of Ross Morris (guitar) and Ines Mayhew-Begg (soprano) began working together in 2019 at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.They aim to bring a freshness to their programmes through their own unique arrangements and commissions. From Renaissance lute music to flamenco-inspired songs from Spain, the concert will feature a wide range of styles and periods and will include some of their own arrangements, bringing a fresh approach to some of the most loved repertoire for the voice.The duo has already brought their shared enjoyment of the intimate and expressive nature of voice and guitar to a wide variety of audiences such as ‘Live Music Now Scotland Artists’ and ‘International Guitar Foundation Young Artists’, including performances at such prestigious venues as the National Gallery of Scotland, the National Museum of Scotland, St Giles Cathedral, Bristol Cathedral and London’s Kings Place.
