The City of Gainesville will hold a workshop to review the draft plan for Morningside Nature Center. The city is writing 10-year plans for nature parks. The first plan is for Morningside Nature Center, a 416-acre park on the east side of the city. This park is home to fire-dependent habitats with many plants and animals.The meeting will have a short talk followed by time for questions and feedback. The city takes care of many parks. Some have active recreation, like playgrounds, sports fields and pools. Others have passive recreation, like hiking, biking and watching wildlife.
