Please join us for our service of Morning Prayer for Palm Sunday.For the last few weeks now we have been travelling with Jesus on his way to Jerusalem – today is the day that he arrives to a hero’s welcome. Riding on the back of a donkey, cloaks are laid on the ground and palm leaves waved in the air, God’s king has arrived and people welcome him gladly.
But all is not sweetness and light. Some still complain at the king’s arrival, and Jesus himself weeps over a city full of people that even now can’t see where true peace may be found.
Our 10.30am service will include the Sunday Club for children, any children visiting today are welcome to join the group. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the church centre, and our Annual General Meeting will begin at 12 noon, please do stay if you can.
