The manatees have arrived, and the sanctuaries don’t close until November 15, so this will be one of the last chances of the season to explore the entire bay freely. If we’re lucky, we’ll even see the manatees gliding through the crystal-clear waters of Three Sisters Springs — it doesn’t get more magical than that.
Meet us at The Port Hotel Boat Ramp at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday the 12th. We’ll be on the water from about 9:00 a.m. to noon, taking our time to enjoy the calm weather and wildlife. Conditions look perfect: sunny skies around 64 °F at launch, warming up to the upper 70s by late morning, light ENE winds 3–6 mph, and a gentle outgoing tide around 10:30 a.m.
Sunrise on that day is at 6:51 a.m. in the Crystal River, Florida / Kings Bay area.
Bring your own kayak or paddleboard (rentals available upon request). No rush, no phones — just a peaceful morning surrounded by manatees, nature, and good company.
