Join us for an exciting morning adventure at the beautiful Scotsdale Farm, situated on the Niagara Escarpment and located along the Bruce Trail!

Our hike begins early on the Bennett Heritage Trail, where you'll be greeted by the serene sight of the farm's lily pond. As we journey deeper into nature, the trail transforms, offering a mix of terrains that will keep you engaged. From muddy patches to rocky paths, and sudden elevations to wooden footbridges, every step brings a new experience. You'll find yourself surrounded by towering trees, some of which are part of an old growth forest, creating a magical canopy that filters the sunlight and transports you away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Prepare to be enchanted by the diverse landscapes and the soothing sounds of nature. Listen to the melodious birdsongs, feel the gentle rustling of leaves, and let the calming sound of running water wash away your stress. Our route will take us along the renowned Bruce Trail, past quiet country roads, and alongside picturesque agricultural fields. This loop hike is perfect for those seeking a true wilderness experience.
By starting early, we'll beat the heat and enjoy the tranquility of the morning hours. Plus, we'll be back in the early afternoon with plenty of time to enjoy the rest of your day. So, lace up your shoes and let's get INTO THE WILD!
Remember to bring your bug spray – the local insects can be quite enthusiastic in July and August! Hiking boots are recommended but not mandatory. The trail can get really muddy at times, but running shoes will do just fine.

Hikers should plan to arrive at 7:45am at the bus meeting spot as the bus will depart at 8:00 am sharp, and we are not able to wait for latecomers.
