About this Event
Using the postcode 1 Hillfield Lane, WD25 8DA and driving along Hillfield Lane from the Radlett Road end, the entry is on the left, well beyond Patchetts Green and about 750m beyond the entrance to Hillfield Farm.
This large expanse of water is a valuable refuge for waterfowl, including blacknecked grebe. An important site for large numbers of wintering ducks, particularly mallard, shoveler, teal, wigeon and goldeneye, we may also discover some spring arrivals. Around the margins of the reservoir are large marshy areas where many species of marsh plants flourish, including great reedmace, reed canary grass, phragmites and various sedges.
We hope to walk the 5km around the reservoir, depending on how wet and marshy it is.
The event is free but a voluntary donation of £2 per person is suggested.

Give him your phone number, your address, whether you would prefer to drive, be a passenger or either of those, and whether you intend staying for lunch. By doing so, you are giving him permission to pass on your contact details to others attending the event to see whether car sharing is viable.
