About this Event
Step into a practice of beauty, gratitude, and connection. In this special workshop, you’ll be guided through the 7-step Morning Altars practice, an immersive and meditative approach to creating nature-based art. As you work with natural elements, you’ll have the opportunity to honor your mother, grandmother, or Mother Earth—expressing gratitude through a meaningful act of reciprocity.
This is more than an art workshop; it’s a practice of deep listening, presence, and offering. Certified Morning Altars teacher Amy Fairbanks will lead you through each step, helping you explore themes of grief, change, celebration, and ancestral connection. Whether you join as part of a group or seek personal guidance, this experience invites you to slow down, create with intention, and leave something of beauty behind as an offering to the land.
Join us on May 10th for a morning of creativity, reflection, and heartfelt connection.

Amy Fairbanks
Amy has always loved nature and art, but it wasn’t until the beginning of the Pandemic in 2020 that she began to combine her two loves into one. Inspiration came to her through a book, Morning Altars, by Day Schildkret. She is one of the first Certified Morning Altars Teachers, which was a year long training with over 100 hours of training with Day Schildkret. Her business is Sunshine Conduits.
She resides in Colorado on the Western Slope, on the ancestral lands of the Nuche. Her business is Sunshine Conduits. A conduit is something that brings things together. Her practice combines art and nature and at the same time provides a time for meditation, healing, and setting intentions. She is passionate about sharing this practice with others through workshops, commissioned events, individualized coaching, and through images and prints of her own nature art.
Amy Fairbanks has been serving as an educator for 32 years. Her experience has given her the opportunity to work with teachers and administrators in small and larger groups. Her educational background serves her well in guiding individuals, small groups and large groups through creating Sunshine Conduits. She is an experienced artist, leader, coach, and facilitator.
