Morella y Peñiscola, both have been chosen the two most beautiful towns in Spain, by the association Los pueblos más bonitos de España: Morella & Peñiscola.Morella, a medieval city, surrounded by a 1500 metres high wall that give us the feeling of being inside an ancient building. Every corner has its charm and the views from Castle are awesome. Morella’s gastronomy is very well known, apart from famous charcuterie from Morella don’t forget to taste la SOPA MORELLANA (Morella soup) and get some sweets as for example “Flaons de Morella”, made with ricotta cheese and almonds.
Peñiscola, “City in the Sea“, is a mix of an Island and a peninsula. It is surrounded by water on three, which was the reason that Iberians, Romans, Carthaginians, Arabs, etc.. wanted to dominate the city.
