About this Event
Tanya Ross, a singer, songwriter, musician, and vocal instructor from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, draws inspiration from gospel, jazz, and soul music. In 1996, she founded her first band, Ebonique, gaining significant stage experience and opening for artists like Quincy Jones, Boney James, and the Temptations.
Fifteen years ago, Tanya launched The Tanya Ross Project, collaborating with musicians such as Anthony Brown and Maurice Baxter. With over twenty-seven years of performing across the U.S., her repertoire includes R&B, Neo-Soul, Smooth Jazz, Reggae, and her compositions. She has released three acclaimed CDs: "Free as a Bird," "Baggy Jeans," and "Sunshine and Rain."
In 2016, Tanya opened Ross’ Performance Music Studio, where she teaches vocal techniques, stage performance, and equipment knowledge. Committed to spreading love, healing, and hope through music, Tanya continues to share her unique talents and thanks the Creator for her blessings.
