We will be meeting at the midland hotel (prom side) at 12pm with a set off time around 12.45 to 1pm to allow for latecomers with traffic etc. We will then then head along the prom with a ride up the jetty and a photo stop, and probably do a pic stop at the Eric morecambe statue then up to happy mount park which is a nice leisurely ride of around 2 miles beside the sea. There is a cafe by happy mount park which has great reviews called the bay view cafe with outside seating area and plenty of room for the bikes and a chat. If this one is closed there is another slightly further down the promenade with the same kind of outdoor seating overlooking the bay. After something to drink and eat we head back towards the midland hotel (2 miles) where we will stop and if the weather is nice enough we carry on along the promenade in the direction of heysham with some lovely views on our right and straight ahead.. all in all a nice leisurely ride which is all off road and flat. As with all my rides itโs all ages and kids are welcome as usual to ride along with their mums and dads/grandadโs/grandmaโs! All makes and models of old skool and vintage bikes welcome as we love to see a big variety on these rides! So hope you can join me on this new one! There are plenty of free parking places along the prom and side roads and also car parks too near to the start point. See you there!
