About this Event
More Than a Movie is a community-based event presented by Kids Up Front Vancouver for the unique experience to see The Little Mermaid on the big screen at BC Place! Join us on Sunday, October 1st for this family event in the afternoon.
Tickets are distributed through our partnerships with over 110 local agencies that serve communities facing barriers such as; poverty, newcomers, immigrants, indigenous populations, or those with physical or mental health issues… sponsored families will attend this event alongside those who have purchased tickets!
We welcome 3,500 kids and their families to enjoy a movie and visit the BC Sports Hall of Fame. There will be on-field activities like kicking soccer balls, throwing footballs, face painting, a bouncy castle, and photos with team mascots from the BC Lions & Vancouver Whitecaps and more… Then they’ll watch a movie on the Jumbotron!
Each ticket, donated or purchased, includes admission for the movie, access to on-field activities, a hot dog, popcorn, and soft drink. Everyone will share the same fun and enriching experience of joy in a safe, equal and inclusive environment!
Kids Up Front is founded on the idea that ALL kids deserve the chance to be inspired, regardless of circumstance, and every kid should have access to enriching experiences.
