Hey everybody, January 31st is the birthday of the amazing 18th-century Quaker Anthony Benezet. This is a great occasion to get to know him better, and also to enjoy my scintillating cartoons and compelling verbal delivery in a 1-hr slideshow presentation. People who HAVE heard of Benezet (no slight if you haven't!) know him for his work creating the movement to abolish slavery, his advocacy for indigenous Americans, and also his shaping of public education in Philadelphia. But this will be a chance to focus on his visionary advocacy for animals and their interests, and how that radical empathy tied in with his various social-justice campaigns. AND: There will be vegan snacks! Hope to see you there!
