For more than 40 years, First Presbyterian Church has celebrated the Moravian Lovefeast, a time-honored service of music, candlelight, and fellowship marking the beginning of Advent.This beautiful worship service—rooted in the early Christian “agape meal”—is a reminder of Christ’s love and unity among believers. Guests will share in a simple meal of warm yeast rolls and coffee, accompanied by gifted musicians and talented speakers. Each participant receives a beeswax candle wrapped in red crepe paper, symbolizing the pure flame of Christ’s love shining in our hearts.
Come rejoice with us as we remember the light of Christ and the warmth of Christian love shared in community. All are welcome to this special evening of worship, light, and reflection as we begin the Advent season together.
