Join us for a special AGM as we celebrate 25 years of Moor Trees. The event is being held so we can gather together at the location of the first ever trees that Moor Trees planted on Scoriton Down. As well as reflecting on how the charity has evolved and changed over the last quarter of a century it will also give us time to consider our progress towards realising a more nature rich Dartmoor with the restoration of our ancient woodland and expansion and creation of native broadleaf woodland bringing life to a host of flora and fauna as together we breath more life in Dartmoor.
The day will start with the AGM where you will hear from our Chair of the Board of Trustees Jenny Isaac and our Chief Executive Helen Aldis about our achievements over the past 12 - 18 months. The event will also mark the start of a programme of activities in celebration of our 25 years of operation include our hopes and aspirations for the next 25 years. We will consider what the future will be for the internationally important habitats that are the temperate rainforests of Dartmoor and our role in realising a more nature rich Dartmoor.
During the afternoon we will join together to gather seeds from the local area exploring the woodlands we helped to create and restore and observing how nature is recovering following our involvement when we symbolically planted Moor Trees' very first trees.
