The unique Steelwind sound originates from co-songwriters Blake Parks and Michael Henneberry. This year marks 15 years of writing heartfelt lyrics and playing music together that all started on a front porch in Stillwater, OK. Over the years, their tight harmonies and bluegrass instrumentation have become an identifiable style with Blake on fiddle, Michael on guitar, Joel Parks on banjo, Adam Davis on dobro, and Kenny Parks on bass. Their 2016 album titled F5 showcased their songwriting style and unleashed their title track about how relationships can be tornados. Their 2019 album Blue brings out the emotions of happiness, excitement, and of course being blue. These youthful musicians create a fun show as they share their original songs and bluegrass favorites with music lovers. Steelwind has opened for Darrel Scott, Tony Rice, The SteelDrivers, and Asleep at the Wheel to name a few. From playing intimate listening rooms to major festivals, these young and talented musicians bring a fresh sound to the bluegrass world.Inspyral Circus, Factory Obscura, and is a feat. dancer with local band, Stepmom.
